add key to digital image

Hi for all.... please i didn't found any solution in my problem.. i am work to cipher image. Such as i have image(64x64) and a will to cipher it by adding key to image using (XORed operation) but the key in binary. Also i will to decrypt the image... please i need help ....

Mays - please provide an example of your key (is it an integer or binary string of characters), a sample image (is it just 64x64 or 64x64x3) and show us what you have tried so far.

thank you Geoff Hayes .... i have stream biary key , and image is 64x64 , but when i reading the image in MATLAB the result is 64x64x3

really i didn't find any solution thank you very much
