What error shows up when you use daqhwinfo ?
daqhwinfo is part of the Data Acquisition Toolkit. Do you have that toolkit installed and licensed?

can u explain about activated parallel port from device manager?

thanks for urs respons
To cross-check: do you happen to be using the 64 bit version of XP? The parallel ports are only supported on the 32 bit version of XP.
I suggest that you discuss this matter with Mathworks Support as an "installation issue" (there is free support for insallation issues.)
I do not have the windows experience to know about parallel port issues (other than to know that they can be difficult to solve.)
i already tried for some instruction, and still not working.
finally i do re-install windows OS with the same one on that machine and istall again mathlab r2006a. and magicaly thats work very well.
hehehehe.......
so i think previous case is a windows OS corupt or somethink.
but thanks for yours answer and respons
