What algorithm is used by generateMesh function?

Hi all,
I would like to know which triangulation algorithm is used by the generateMesh function included in the Partial Differential Equation Toolbox. Is this algorithm based-on other triangulation algortihms also included in Matlab, such as Delaunay triangulation?

you can try by running:
open generateMesh
this should open generateMesh.m and allow you to see its code, from there you can figure it out.

Hi Borja,
I believe you want to know the algorithm implemented on which "generateMesh " works in Partial Differential Equation Toolbox.
A 2D triangulation procedure is used by the generateMesh function in the Partial Differential Equation (PDE) Toolbox to create a triangular mesh for a specified geometric region.
A modified version of the Delaunay triangulation algorithm is used by the generateMesh function in the PDE Toolbox to account for extra constraints such boundaries and regions with varied mesh density needs.
