Hello
Please help..me.
i am use the code to detect p wave on ECG Signal.
%%%P Peak detection
a=Rloc(i,j)-90:Rloc(i,j)-10;
m=max(y1(a));
b=find(y1(a)==m);
b=b(1);
b=a(b);
Ploc(i,j)=round(b);
Pamp(i,j)=round(m);
when pvc beat in signal the p wave you take location , how can be avoid that please? and thanks.

There is no true P-deflection preceding a PVC.
That is essentially the definition of a Premature Ventricular Contraction or Premature Ventricular Complex (PVC), in which the ventricular contraction is initiated by the Prukinje fibers rather than the SA node. That a P-deflection appears just prior to the following ectopic deflection does not mean that the P-deflection initiated the ectopic contraction. Here, it appears simply to be a chance occurrence. The PVC has an associated compensatory pause following it, in which the A-V node is depolarised and suppressed. See Braunwald's Heart Disease, Single Volume, 12th Edition for a thorough discussion.
