Simulink GUI is pixelated/blurry/hard to read

7 views (last 30 days)
I recently updated my MATLAB R2018a setup to the latest R2022b version on my Windows 8.1 laptop. In the latest version, the GUI of Simulink appears pixelated and hard to read. On top of that, the buttons occupy a very large portion of the screen. On the other hand, the GUI of MATLAB is fine and readable. Please, see the attached screenshot of Simulink to better understand my current situation.
I am pretty sure the issue is linked to the DPI scaling of my screen (which has a 1920x1080 resolution on 11" of diagonal size), but I don't know how to solve it. This problem did not occur with the older R2018a version that I had installed.
I look forward to an expert advice or any helpful suggestion.
Kind regards

Hi Michele,
MATLAB R2022b does not support Windows 8.1 operating system. I believe that can be the one reason for the issue you are encountering.

Thank you for your response.
I would agree with you. However, I installed an older version of MATLAB (R2021b), which also does not officially support Windows 8.1 (https://it.mathworks.com/content/dam/mathworks/mathworks-dot-com/support/sysreq/files/system-requirements-release-2021b-windows.pdf). Nevertheless, this version solves my Simulink problem I encountered with R2022b.
