Reading data from a UCAC star catalogue

Hello, I wonder if someone already tried to get data from UCAC3 catalogue from within Matlab and has may be some scripts he/she could share with me.

Hmmm... I do find evidence that it has been done, but I do not seem to find code for it, except possibly as a minor part of some much more extensive packages.

I did find the description of the binary format, but the description of the interpretation of all the various binary value types was somewhat long... not something one would be enthusiastic about programming up without good reason.

The main page for the wcstools indicates it supports UCAC2 but there are apparently large differences for UCAC3.
