Matlab no longer starts on Mac OS Monterey 12.3.1

Matlab was working fine for months. All of a sudden it stopped launching. Tried reinstalling numerous times and same problem. Confirmed that it is not a licensing issue.

Can you launch it from the terminal ? With or without -nodesktop ?

Unfortunately it wont run from the terminal in both cases. -nodesktop hangs as well. Running with -nodisplay works but I need the full capabilities with GUI so this work around is of now use. Not sure how to proceed

Hello Aiden,
I understand you are facing an issue with MATLAB R2021a on Mac OS Monterey 12.3.1. Unfortunately, MATLAB does not support macOS Monterey in MATLAB R2021a release. You can use MATLAB R2023a release which supports macOS Monterey, macOS Ventura and macOS Big Sur.
Please refer to the following System Requirements links for more information on support for macOS in MATLAB R2021a and MATLAB R2023a releases:
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Shuba Nandini
