How to do a blocked rotor test on PMSM model in simulink?

18 views (last 30 days)
Im trying to simulate some tests in simulink and I'm usin the model that you can see below:
But I can't find a way to prevent the simlutaed motor to move. I know that in simscape you can put a mechanical ground to simulte de rotor to be attached to the ground and forcing the velocity to be zero. But havent find such a tool for this model.
Any idea on how to do that?
(The PMSM model is attached)

Hi Santiago. I don't recognize this as a standard simscape block. Is this a subsystem that you created? Could you attach it?

Hi Pat!
Find the model attached. You can laso find it if you type "permanent magnet" in the library browser.

The motor model accepts a mechanical input as Torque or Speed. You can choose the speed input option and set it to Zero in order to "block" the motor from moving.

If you are doing speed control and want to simulate locked rotor, you can add high viscous damping and static friction.
