In the simulink discrete integrator block, there are total 6 options for the Integrator method, 3 integrators and 3 accumulators. What is the difference between the integration and accumulation method? Where are these typically used?

"In integration mode, T is the block sample time (delta T in the case of triggered sample time). In accumulation mode, T = 1. The block sample time determines when the output is computed but not the output value."

Can you please give us more detail on this ? The main objective is to use a accumalator in place of an integrator, will that be possible ?
