Importing variables into Simulink from Matlab

Hi all I am now trying to compile my Simulink model and having trouble linking my workspace variables.

In the Model Explorer, go to the Model Workspace parameters and set the Data source to "MATLAB File". Select your M file to use in the file name edit box. If you have further problems be sure to post the model file and any error messages for the community to see.

Quck follow up here, any idea what these task blocks are and how they might relate to the state flow block that's shown here?
