I am trying out the MATLAB experience for 30 days and have found it very interesting, so much so I think I will invest.
Although I am a professionally qualified electronics engineer, I do not practise electronics in my job. I work in the water/wastewater industry as a project manager, overseeing the design, construction and testing of new wastewater treatment work circa £3m.
As you can imagine this does not require any knowledge of electronics, in fact I would be better suited to the work of civil engineers.
I have a interest in electronics as a hobby and would be purchasing a copy MATLAB for home use. In particular, I am interested the area of digital video broadcasting (DVB) and am learning about Quadrature Amplitude Modulation - QAM.
I have used MATLab to generate a 16 QAM signal which I can view on the signal processing toolbox i.e. scope and have also analysed the spectra. I have some questions regarding this. Is this the correct place / forum ?
Regards, Derek
