I have a measurement data which contains a three columns with timestamp, wind speed, power and rpm.I would like to bin the wind speed in the range of -0.25 to 0.25, 0.25 to 0.75,.....of 0.5 m/s bin range. And I have to calculate the mean of each bins by binning the wind speed alone.
Kindly suggest me a suitable solution for my below queries:
1. By binning the wind speed column, other columns(Active Power, rpm also be binned and mean shall be calculated).
2. Also I would like to change the bin size by 0.5, 1, 2 etc...so that the upper and lower limits of bin varies..
Kindly sort out at the earliest...
Regards, M. Sarfudeen

You can do these things with the histc function. You can set the bins to what you want, get the counts, and also get an index to use for the other variables.
