I am trying to model a 3D printer or at least a 3-axis system in simulink. The problem is I don't know were to start, I have a basic working knowledge of Simulink. I currently have a 1D rail system that was provided to me but can't seem to get an idea of were to go from there. Can anyone help?

Hello Franco,
You could have a look at the following example which illustrates the process of modelling a Cartesian 3D printer.
