^ (power) Operator not working on editor
Show older comments
Hello!
The circunflex operator simply stopped working on MATLAB 2021 on my university computer. When I type the Shift+^ and then use Space to type the power operator, nothing appears on the editro. It also does not work on the console. If I try to copy and paste, then the symbol appears, and I can work with it.
The machine is running on Linux.
Best Regards,
Peter

Maybe the keyboard is bad. Does ^ work in other programs, e.g. notepad?

Which operating system are you using and what keyboard configuration? That combination of keys usually implies a European keyboard of some kind.

I have the same problem too, I'm using a French keyboard layout (AZERTY), running Matlab 2023a on Ubuntu 22 with Windows default set as keyboard settings (Changing to Emac default set doesn't change anything). ^ key works fine in any other editor.
