Hello,
Each MATLAB release is only supported for a subset of Linux distributions. For instance, the list of the Linux distributions for which MATLAB R2021a is supported can be found in the following documentation page,
Simply select "Linux" from the list to the left of the documentation page above to see the supported Linux distributions for MATLAB R2021a. You are welcome to try using a Linux distribution which is not listed above, but in this case there is no guarantee that everything will work as expected and only limited support will be provided in case of an unexpected behavior.
As mentioned in the documentation page above "MATLAB and Simulink have been validated on the Linux distributions listed on this page. It is likely that other distributions with Linux kernel version 3.10 or later and glibc version 2.17 or later can successfully run MATLAB and Simulink, but technical support will be limited."
Therefore you can download MATLAB from www.mathworks.com for Linux when logging into your account, and then run the installer script ./install from the downloaded files provided that you execute the installer script using super user rights.
I hope that this information helps.
Kind regards,
Andreas
