Anyone change the parallel server default to allow anonymous binds?

I understand that the default is a check in the do not allow anonymous binds box. Only authenticated binds should be allowed. We had a security audit and some of the worker node servers had the box unchecked. I wonder if checking the box will impact the head node sending distributed jobs to the Parallel computing worker nodes.
