Can i re-install Matlab on my computer after formatting ?

Yes. If you can, "Deactivate" your existing installation prior to formatting. If you can't/couldn't deactivate and it won't let you install, call the Mathworks.

I forgot to say that they offer free telephone support for installation for everyone , even those with student editions. If you have no more questions, can you mark the question as "Accepted"?
