Voigt Function

I am trying to fit a graph with a Voigt function (a convolution between a gaussian and a lorentzian function), but I'm not really sure of how to do this. I have a program set up to fit gaussian curves, but the convolution part is throwing me off for the voigt function.
Any help would be really appreciated!

the problem i am having is that the convolution needs to happen symbolically (so that I can fit the voigt to data), which of course is no good in matlab. so i'm wondering if there are any ways around it
