Navigating through road intersections is one of the challenges in fully automated driving. For safe navigation, traffic at the road intersections are usually regulated by the traffic lights. Autonomous vehicles must be equipped to understand the traffic signals and the traffic at these regulated intersections. As the vehicle approaches an intersection monitored by a traffic light, it must be capable of making decisions such as speed control and stop condition.
