The app demonstrates three stepped distance protection by MHO relay. The relay is set for protection of transmission line which is divided in three zones. The backup protection is provided with suitable time delay that can be adjusted by set delay slider. The same protection scheme is also demonstrated for the transmission line infeed from another end. The fault location for different zones can be changed by Zf slider and relay actions can be seen. The fault point can be located by changing value of current, voltage and phi by respective slider. The location of fault point indicates the zone of fault. In addition to this the app also shows impedance trajectory for fault/power swing/overload by just clicking the Impedance trajectory button and Instantaneous operation of the relay can be observed.
