In many textbooks it is taught that incident and reflected light rays are always lie in the same plane: plane of incidence. But in 1952 F.I. Fedorov predicted that under some conditions reflected beam will be shifted out of plane of incidence [1]. In 1972 C. Imbert measured this effect experimentally [2]. In this demo we will show under which condition this transverse shift happens, as well as what is the reason of such shift.
