A GUI based bitplane extarction of grayscale image.
bit planes extracted are used to water mark ,compression etc....
1) we know that pixels are the smallest element of any image(building blocks).
and these pixels in gray scale image varies from (0-255) 0-black, 255-white, and 127-gray.
2) In a 8-bit gray scale image each pixel values are represented by 8-binary digits.
ex :- a)decimal=127 b) decimal=203
binary=11111111 binary=11001011
3) If an image is constructed just by considering the 1st bit(LSB) , then that is the 1st bit plane of the image.
if an image is constructed just by considering the 2nd bit , then that is called 2nd bit plane.
there fore for any gray scale image a total of 8-bit planes can be extracted.
a very simple code, based on the basics. :) enjoy.
