Fault Analysis Using Two Bus Power System
Version 1.0.0 (39.1 KB) by
Dr Varaprasad Janamala
This model is useful for symmetrical and unsymmetrical fault studies in power system.
A 11 kV, 50 Hz three-phase generator (star grounded) rated at 50 kW is connected to bus-1. A 400V, 50 Hz, three-phase load (star grounded) rated at (100 kW + j 8 kVAr) is connected at bus-2. Bus-1 and bus-2 are connected by an 11 kV /400 V, 50 Hz, 100 kVA, three-phase delta-to-star (grounded) transformer. Considering the different types of faults at bus-1, this project is useful for analysing the three-phase voltages and currents of bus-1 and bus-2.
