IRS-Centric Smart Grid Signal Transmissions
Version 1.0 (2.21 KB) by
Ardavan Rahimian
This code optimizes signal strength in a smart grid by dynamically adjusting an IRS in response to the positions of smart meters.
This code simulates and optimizes the performance of an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) within a smart grid composed of smart meters, sensors, and energy resources; all represented as points in a 2D space. The IRS is positioned at the centroid of smart meter locations and adjusts its phase shifts to maximize signal strength at each smart meter. The code also supports the dynamic addition of new smart meters to the grid and re-optimizes the IRS configuration in response. The performance of the IRS is evaluated in terms of the average signal strength received at the smart meters, and both the grid and the IRS are plotted.
