Will AccelerEyes Jacket functionality be implemented into MATLAB?

3 views (last 30 days)
AccelerEyes announced in december 2012 that it works with Mathworks on the GPU code and has discontinued its product Jacket for MATLAB:
Unfortunately they do not sell Jacket licences anymore.
Does anybody has information on when we are going to see some of the Jacket functionality in Matlab? I tried to contact both companies without success.

I've encountered similar obstacles finding out what's going on with the Jacket/MATLAB software merge. So far, only Accelereyes has been explicit and public that the merge is actually going to take place. MathWorks sales reps didn't seem to even be aware of it.
To me, it's a little suspicious that only one party acknowledges that the partnership exists. So, I have my doubts that the software merge is actually taking place. Also, the partnership was supposedly a way to settle lawsuits between MathWorks and Accelereyes, but again Accelereyes news releases are the only testament to that that I can find. For all we know, MathWorks may have won those lawsuits and has no plans to team up with Accelereyes.

That is the kind of information that would be usually be considered confidential competitive information, such that anyone outside of the two companies that knew the information would very likely be bound by confidentiality to not reveal it.
You should contact your sales representative. It is not uncommon for organizations have a mechanism for sales representatives to discuss upcoming features under NDA (Non-disclosure agreement)
