string array to excel

Hello I have an 8x14 string array and would like to export it as an Excel file. Is there a command to do this?

Am I missing something, or is this as simple as it seems:
s = repmat(["a" "bcd"], 8, 7); % 8x14 string matrix
writematrix(s, 'temp.xlsx');
