I want to merge 4 figures into 1 figures

There are four figures already stored.
I want to compare these at once, is there a way to represent them in a single figure?

It's best just to create them as 1 to begin with with nexttile() or subplot(). If you have them already stored, how are they stored? As .fig files or .PNG files? If the figures are open, then you can use saveas() or copygraphics() to save them as images then use imread() and subplot() to display all 4 on one figure.

I save as fig files.
can you teach me how to use 'imread' code??
