In Simmechanics, Should the body sensor give zero (angular) velocity or not if a body frame is used?

Hi,
I have a simmechanics model and I am using a body sensor to record the angular velocity of a long rod.
the rod is rotate around 2 axes but it can not rotate along its longitudinal axes.
What I need is to have two nonzero angular velocity and a zero angular velocities. So I tried to sense the angular velocity relative to the body frame (rather than global frame). But still all the three angular velocities are nonzero!
Thanks,

What type of joint are you using? You can usually sense from the joint directly.
Also, SimMechanics 2G has been out for a year or two now. I would suggest using that if you have access.
