how can I find the RMS value of steady state part of signal?

I have a signal which has transient and steady state part. I want to find the RMS value of the steady state part of signal. I am using switch block or enable subsytem block to remove transient part of signal, but the RMS value is the same.
How can split signal? or how can I take RMS value of the selected range of signal?
