I am implementing an article "Image Analysis for MRI Based Brain Tumor Detection and Feature Extraction Using Biologically Inspired BWT and SVM" for my BS FYP.
I got stuck in segmentation. As it is written in that paper that you have to use berkeley wavelet transformation, I have questions that did this equation is enough or i have to implement the 4 pairs of wavelet? if it is enough then what values i have to take for scale and for i,j ??
?? ?(?,?)=1/?^2 (?? ?(3^?(?−? ),3 ^s (?−?))),
2nd ques. it is not mention in the paper that how to get wm, gm and csf. They discuss the morhological operations and then write " The experimented results produced by the proposed techniquedepictedforthesegmentedoutcomeforthethree classes of WM, GM, and CSF and for the extracted tumor region"
So can we get wm, gm and csf from applying morphological operations (imerode, imdilate)??
I am not good in asking questions or elaborating things, but i am hoping to get positive response
