Matlab Mobile failure to connect

I'm having trouble connecting with matlab mobile .. I get the connector running on my pc or laptop as instructed and it tests fine but when I press 'Connect' on my mobile after putting all IP and password info into the app, I always get a timeout message. Any suggestions? What am I missing?
