How do I move Matlab Production Server software to a new server?

I installed Production Server to new machine, but get a license error when I try to launch an instance.

What error did you get?

Did you specify a license option in $MPS_INSTANCE/config/main_conf like the following?

--license 27000@hostA

Or you can specify from Dashboard -> Settings -> License.

This is the error Server failed to start (error code = 16): license checkout failed Server process exited with return code: 16 (check logs for more information)

After making changes per you suggestions unrecognized option :license :unrecognized flag let me know if you need any more info. Thanks

In your previous machine where MPS was installed, did you use FlexNet license manager? Or, did you use just a license file?

The license check out failed error is describing in this answer.

You need to uncomment --license option in main_config file and specify the license file path or FlexNet license manager's hostname.
