Hello there. I'm trying to make a function to calculate two vectors defined in rectangular coordinates, add them, and save them as rectangular coordinates as well. This is what I've made, and it isn't working to how I want it. Can anyone help out?
function [out1] = VADD(a, b, c, d, j)
[x] = a + j*b;
[y] = c + j*d;
out1 = (a+c) + j*(b+d)
disp(out1)
end

function out1 = VADD(a, b, c, d, j)
x = a + j*b;
y = c + j*d;
out1 = (a+c) + j*(b+d)
disp(out1)
end
