Lego Mindstorm installation problem

4 views (last 30 days)
I am sorry. The automatic installation on my computer cannot install the GNU ARM compiler. The message says that it is corrupt. I download manually and it shows that the file is corrupt too. There is a newer version of GNU ARM compiler that works. Please help me. I do not know haow to do the installation manually.

What is the newer version of the GNU ARM compiler, and how did you determine what it works?
Also, as noted in
http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/34666-lego-mindstorm-installation-problem, can you check if there are any system monitoring programs, other than Anti-Virus software, running on your computer (e.g., anti-malware programs, disk checkers).

Try the following steps.
  1. Disable the antivirus or other network activity monitors on your system, and try to manually download the GNU ARM compiler (outside of MATLAB, using your regular web browser). This will be named something like "bu-2.16.1_gcc-4.0.2-c-c++_nl-1.14.0_gi-6.4.exe". Make sure that it works (by double-clicking on it ensuring that you don't get a "corrupt file" message), but don’t complete the GNU ARM installation
  2. Download the Simulink Support Package for LEGO Mindstorms. This will be named something like "rtt_legomindstormsnxt_r2012a_v1_0.zip".
  3. Copy the downloaded GNU ARM compiler and Simulink support package to C:\MATLAB\Targets\R2012a\downloads\ (overwrite any existing files in that folder)
  4. Start targetinstaller, choose the Folder option and specify “C:\MATLAB\Targets\R2012a\downloads\” as the location.
