Cvpartition "holdout"; "leaveout", "Kfold" ?

Can you please give me examples of codes where these three types of partitions are used ( I have read the description but I really want to be enlightened on how to use them efficiently, the example provided by Matlab on fisheriris was not really helpful for me)
