Error while using smimport

I'm trying to import a file from solidworks for simscape and I'm constantly getting the following error whenever I use command smimport: Error in smimport (line 132) [hModel, sDataFile] = smimport_implementation(xmlFile, varargin{ : });

Do you have any apostrophes in your current working directory?

If yes, change the MATLAB Current Folder to a new directory that does not contain an apostrophe. It is best practice to avoid using spaces or any special characters in folder names used by MATLAB and Simulink.
