Can't use serial send with arduino uno board

I'm trying to create a simple model that reads data from an arduino by using the 'Serial Receive' block, but whenever I try to select a port and apply changes I get the following error:

I already tested this on another laptop and got the same result.

I got the same error when trying to use Serial Send which is from the Instrument Control Toolbox, however it went away when I used the Serial Transmit block from Simulink support package for Arduino. I think this is an expected behavior.

you should disconnect your arduino first then close the simulink and matlab

then re open matlab and connect the arduino to the pc then open the simulink then you can use the block without any problem
