I try to start Simulink using a Windows shortcut. Instead it says:
>> start_simulink
>> matLabroot\bin\win64\matlab.exe -r start_simulink
matLabroot\bin\win64\matlab.exe -r start_simulink
↑
Error: Invalid expression. Check for missing multiplication operator, missing or unbalanced delimiters, or other syntax error. To construct matrices, use
brackets instead of parentheses.
Help!!!
Thanks.

Have you tried to just type:
simulink
in the MATLAB command window?
Variable names in MATLAB are not allowed to contain the - character. Nor are they allowed to start with a digit. See the documentation for the "isvarname" function for a list of other restrictions.
I Hope this was helpful!
