Good day Folks, I’m experiencing a problem with simscape programmable three phase voltage source , is giving me a negative voltage between phase A and neutral.. the other 2 phases are fine. I even tried to connect it directly to an RLC ( R only) same result

Hey Henok,
i understand that you are experiencing a negative voltage between phase A and neutral in a Simscape programmable three-phase voltage source, and the other two phases are fine.
There are a few things you can check and troubleshoot:
  1. Polarity of the Voltage Source: Ensure that you have set the correct polarity for the voltage source. In Simscape, the positive direction for voltage is typically from the higher potential to the lower potential. Check the orientation and settings of your programmable voltage source.
  2. Initial Conditions: Verify if there are any initial conditions set in your simulation that might be affecting the behavior. Reset the initial conditions and see if the issue persists.
  3. Connection Issues: Check the connections between your voltage source and the RLC circuit. Ensure that there are no unintended connections or shorts that could be causing the issue.
  4. Model Parameters: Examine the parameters of the Simscape components in your model, especially those related to the programmable voltage source and the RLC circuit. Ensure that the values are set correctly.
  5. Ground Reference: Confirm that the ground reference is consistent across all components. In Simscape, the choice of ground reference can affect simulation results.
  6. Solver Settings: Sometimes, issues with negative values can be related to numerical instability in the simulation. Experiment with different solver settings to see if it has any effect on the results.
If, after going through these steps, you still encounter the issue, consider providing more details about your Simscape model, including the relevant parts of the code or settings. This information could help me in providing more specific guidance on the problem.
I hope this helps!
