How to make RoadRunner Scenario Vehicles Interact with Signals and Signs?

13 views (last 30 days)
Hello, I am using the RoadRunner Scenario tool and running the simulation within RR. I have a 4-way protected left junction that I would like vehicles to interact with during their routing, as well as stop/yield signs. I have the signals and phases set up in the Scene Tool but in the Simulation the lights do not change state.
Any solutions to this issue? Thanks.

I understand you want to set up the signals and phases correctly in the Scene Tool, but there might be some issues with how you are configuring the simulation. Here are some things to check:
  1. Make sure that you have selected the correct signal controller for your junction in the Simulation Configuration. To do this, go to the "Signal Control" tab in the Simulation Configuration window and select the signal controller that corresponds to your junction.
  2. Check the timing of the signal phases in the Signal Control tab. Make sure that the green, yellow, and red times are set correctly for each phase, and that the phase sequence is correct.
  3. Ensure that you have assigned the correct movements to each phase in the Signal Control tab. To do this, select a phase and check the "Movements" section. Each movement should correspond to a lane or group of lanes that are allowed to proceed during that phase.
  4. Check the "Vehicle Parameters" tab in the Simulation Configuration window to make sure that you have set the correct values for vehicle acceleration, deceleration, and maximum speed. These values can affect how vehicles approach and respond to signal changes.
If you have checked all of these settings and are still experiencing issues with the signal timings, you may need to adjust your simulation parameters or consult the RoadRunner Scenario documentation for more information on signal control.

Hi Atharva,
I'm having exactly the same issue as Zachary. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi,
I am not sure if RoadRunner Scenarios till supports it or not. I used to modify the signals via unreal engine in the past. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmULNmPXmOs
However if an udpate is made where you can do this in RoadRunner itself, that would be awesome.
