How to obtain PSD of time series data using pwelch()

Hi, I use pwelch() to calculate PSD of one set time-series data with 40,000 samples. The data is simulation result, and the time step is 0.01, so there are 100 samples per unit time, i.e. the sample rate fs = 100.
In the file of pwelch(), there are various commands, and I am not sure which one is more accurate. So I try different methods. It seems that method 1 and 2 have different value range of frequency, while method 3 looks very different with method 1 and 2. But all of these are not expected results, which should be something like:

Can anyone tell me is there any error in my code or the way I draw the PSD is incorrect? Thanks!!

hello
if you want the finest frequency resolution, the fft length must be equal to your signal length. You could even virtually increase the resolution with zero padding the signal to further increase the fft length , but that comes with some drawbacks (sometimes)
try this code : (it comes with additionnal features like filetring the signal , you can keep it or remove it)
