How do I read in GPS information from EXIF data in geotagged JPEG images?

3 views (last 30 days)
I have a bunch of geotagged JPEG images, and want to read the GPS information from the EXIF data into the MATLAB workspace. Both exifread() and imfinfo() do not return this information, though most other information is returned.
Does anyone have any tips on how I should go about doing this?

Thanks a lot, Ashish. I just missed seeing the structure, while looking for the GPSLatitude and GPSLongitude fields.
In the meantime, I used a workaround (if that's what you can call it). I used exiftool to export all the EXIF data to a text file, and then used textscan to read in and parse the required fields.

As mentioned by Ashish in the above comment, imfinfo returns a GPSInfo structure containing the required data.
