Not familiar with their skeletonization algorithm but here are some sources:

Nope - not really familiar with it. I assume you're referring to this paper maybe (it's all a quick lazy google search could do for me)

All other tsai-wu stuff appears to be a failure criterion in composites and other anisotropic materials. I don't think that's what you're after either.
