my company purchased a few licenses for 2009b, and now we would like to get more developers to work on it.
Can we purchase 2009b license anymore?
Or can we purchase the current version of license and downgrade it to use 2009b?

You should get access to earlier releases if you buy a current license. Mine shows me as far back as R11.1 available for download. Though you might want to contact mathworks support and confirm before buying.

Thx! The pricing pdf file actually say that I could get 'passcode for previous releases'!

2009b was after they switched to the newer license form.
As Thomas indicates, if you purchase a current license, you can use any previous version with the license. Though the other day someone did indicate that R13 and earlier (I think it was) might have trouble with the flexlm system.

Thanks for the reply! When did you first purchase it? Back in 1999?

No, my current site license is from 2010.. I have another set of license from 2012 and they show the same downloads.
