Import a Dual Three-Phase PMSM from Motor-CAD

This example shows how you can import a six-phase motor design from Motor-CAD into a Simscape™ simulation. This particular motor is configured with dual wye connections. The example sets out the derivation of the implementation and you can modify it to represent other winding configurations.

Model Overview

To implement the imported behavior from Motor-CAD, this model uses a custom Simscape component. To view the source code, click on the Source code link located in the custom component's block help. The equations used are derived in the MATLAB® live script opened by clicking the Open MATLAB live script hyperlink.
