slreq.migrateReqsetLinksets

R2026b

Convert previously imported requirements to use new Requirements Editor UI

Since R2026b

    Description

    migratedReqSet = slreq.migrateReqsetLinksets(reqSetPath,linkSetPath,reqifPath) creates a copy of the previously imported requirement set, reqSetPath, and the link set, linkSetPath, using the path to the original ReqIF™ file, reqifPath. The generated requirement set and link set use the new Requirements Editor UI.

    example

    Examples

    collapse all

    Suppose you previously imported requirements from a Codebeamer® tracker into FunctionalRequirements.slreqx using a ReqIF file called FunctionalTracker.reqifz. Convert the requirement set so that you can update it using the new Requirements Editor UI.

    migratedReqSet = slreq.migrateReqsetLinksets("FunctionalRequirements.slreqx",[],"FunctionalTracker.reqifz");

    Suppose you previously imported requirements from Codebeamer into FunctionalRequirements.slreqx and the link set file VehicleController~mdl.slmx contains links to the requirements from a Simulink® model. Convert the requirement set and the link set.

    migratedReqSet = slreq.migrateReqsetLinksets("SafetyReqs.slreqx","VehicleController~mdl.slmx","SafetyTracker.reqifz");

    Input Arguments

    collapse all

    Requirement set file name, specified as a string scalar or a character vector.

    Note

    You can only migrate a requirement set that you imported from a ReqIF file created using Codebeamer or Jama Connect®.

    Example: "requirements/myReqSet.slreqx"

    Link set file names, specified as a string array or a cell array of character vectors. When you specify a link set, function saves a copy of each link set and updates the links to point to the requirements in the migrated requirement set. You can only migrate link sets that contain incoming links to the requirement set that you migrate.

    Tip

    If you do not have link set files to convert, specify an empty array for this argument.

    The migrated link set file names append _converted before the ~ and its link source file type identifier. For example, PlantModel~mdl.slmx becomes PlantModel_converted~mdl.slmx.

    Example: ["models/PlantModel~mdl.slmx","models/ControllerModel~mdl.slmx"]

    Example: []

    ReqIF file path, specified as a string scalar or a character vector. The function uses the ReqIF file to extract requirement attribute values that Requirements Toolbox did not store during import.

    Data Types: string

    Output Arguments

    collapse all

    Migrated requirement set, returned as an slreq.ReqSet object. To name the migrated requirement set file, the function appends _converted to the original file name.

    Tips

    • You can push traceability to the requirements in Codebeamer or Jama Connect by using the converted link set with the new Requirements Editor UI. For more information, see Push Links to Codebeamer and Jama Connect.
