Speed Up Variant Component Simulation

Improve simulation speed with fast restart, accelerator, and rapid accelerator modes

Use fast restart to perform iterative simulations on Simulink® models containing variants without compiling the model or terminating the simulation each time you make changes to the model. You can change values for root inports, for model initial states, and from Workspace block data; tune parameters and root inputs; and simulate the model again without spending time on recompiling. For more information on fast restart mode, How Fast Restart Improves Iterative Simulations.

To speed up simulation of models where runtime is long compared to the time associated with compilation and checking to see if the target is up to date, use accelerator and rapid accelerator modes. For more information on accelerator modes, see How Acceleration Modes Work.

To speed up simulation, set the variant activation time of variant blocks to startup.
