Get path that identifies block or signal line

Syntax

elemPath = getfullname(handle)

Description

elemPath = getfullname(handle) returns the path of the block or signal line specified by the handle handle. If you specify multiple handles, the function returns a cell array of paths.

Examples

Get Block Path from Block Handle

Suppose you have a loaded model that contains blocks whose handles are stored in the variables h1, h2, and h3.

Get the block path of the block with the handle h1.

getfullname(h1)

Get the block paths of all three blocks with one function call.

h = [h1;h2;h3];
getfullname(h)

Input Arguments

handle — Block or line handle

handle

Handle of one or more blocks or signal lines, specified as a numeric scalar or numeric array.

Data Types: double | array of doubles

Output Arguments

elemPath — Block or line path

block path | line path

Block or line path, returned as a character vector. If you specify multiple handles, the function returns a cell array of character vectors.
