Use the DielectricCatalog to explore the types of dielectrics and their properties.

Creation

Syntax

catalog = DielectricCatalog

Description

catalog = DielectricCatalog creates an object handle for the dielectric catalog.

• To open the dielectric catalog, use the open function.

• To see the properties of a dielectric material from the dielectric catalog, use the find function.

Materials — Dielectric material list

Read-only: 16-by-5 table (default)

This property is read-only.

Dielectric material list, represented as a 16-by-5 table.

Data Types: table

File — Catalog file

Read-only: '(factory defaults)' (default)

This property is read-only.

Catalog file, represented as a character vector.

Data Types: char

Use Dielectric Catalog Element in Cavity

Open the dielectric catalog.

dc = DielectricCatalog;
open(dc)

List the properties of the dielectric material Foam.

Addition of Custom dielectric Material in Dielectric Catalog

Open the dielectric catalog by using openDielectric Catalog function.To add a new material to the dielectric catalog, click on the row addition icon.

A duplicate record of the dielectric material appears below the selected row.

You can change the record by setting a desired name, permittivity, frequency and thickness of the material to customize.

You can access the new added dielectric material by using dielectric object.
