Modeling an Infusion Pump, Part 2: Designing the Subsystems

Take a detailed look at the blocks that make up the three subsystems of the infusion pump:

• Electro-mechanical actuator and fluids drive-line blocks in the plant subsystem
• Occlusion detection, supervisory logic, and motor control for operation in the control/logic subsystem
• Command generation/user interface subsystem

Then simulate all the subsystems together to simulate real-world what-if scenarios, guide the design of infusion pumps, and perform early testing.
